Reinforced cup for the Optimist maststep. This version is improved in several key areas to make it more durable:
- The base and the round part of the cup are both thicker, increasing from 1.5 mm to 2 mm.
- The weld between the cup and the threaded section has been made thicker.
- Note: this reinforced cup weighs 30 grams more than the existing one.
The good news is that the new cup will fit all of the old base plates already mounted in boats, making this a simple upgrade.
