Description
The Optiparts SLEEVE Mast Set provides a simple Optimist training rig designed specifically for use with sleeve sails. The mast slides directly into the sleeve pocket of the sail and, combined with the loose-footed sail, eliminates the need for conventional sail ties on both mast and boom.
This makes the rig quick and straightforward to prepare, particularly for sailing schools and training programmes where boats are regularly rigged and derigged. The mainsheet attaches centrally to a single point on the boom instead of using a bridle, creating additional headroom for young sailors.
The set combines the dedicated SLEEVE mast with the stiffer 40 mm School boom and the standard 25 mm School sprit.
